BSF Recruitment 2023: The Directorate General, Border Security Force (Personnel Directorate: Recruitment Section), Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India has invited Online Applications from both Male and Female Genders Eligible with Interest/Willingness for 04 Posts; viz., 1) Inspector (Architect) and 2) Sub-Inspector (Works) and 3) Junior Engineer/Sub-Inspector (Electrical). According to the BSF Recruitment 2023 Notification issued, there are 23 Vacancies for Appointment into the Posts under Group ‘B’ Combatized (Non-Gazetted) in the Border Security Force, Engineering Establishment/Set-up for the Vacancy Year-2023 to be filled up against Selection for Appointment in the Posts advertised vide the BSF Recruitment 2023 Notification. As has been mentioned in the BSF Recruitment 2023 Notification, all 03 Posts shall be filled up under Pay Level-07 (Rs.44900-142400) and Pay Level-06 (Rs.35400-112400) respectively notified in the BSF Recruitment 2023 Advertisement.

 

The Last Date for the Candidates to complete the Online Registration and Application Process shall close on 14th March 2023 (14.03.2023).

Monthly Salary under BSF Recruitment 2023:

 

According to the BSF Recruitment 2023 Notification, the Candidates appointed on the Post Group-B Combatized (Non-Gazetted) Posts in the Border Security Force) shall be entitled the Pay Scales under Pay Level-07 and Pay Level-06 respectively under the BSF Recruitment 2023 Notification issued.

Pay Scale: Level-07 (Rs.44900-142400) of the 7th Central Pay Commission

 

02) Sub-Inspector (Works):

 

Pay Scale: Level-06 (Rs.35400-112400) of 7th CPC

 

03 and 04) Junior Engineer/Sub-Inspector (Electrical):

 

Pay Scale: Level-06 (Rs.35400-112400) of 7th CPC

Upper Age Limits for BSF Recruitment 2023:

 

In accordance with the BSF Recruitment 2023 Notification, the Age Limits for Un-Reserved Category Candidates as on 14.03.2023, the Closing Date of the BSF Recruitment 2023 Notification remains as follows:

 

01) Inspector (Architect): Below 30 Years

 

02) Sub-Inspector (Works): Not to exceed 30 Years

 

03) Junior Engineer/Sub-Inspector (Electrical): Not to exceed 30 Years

 

Relaxation in the Upper Age Limits for Reserved Community over and above the Ex-Service-Man Candidates shall be applicable as has been explained in the BSF Recruitment 2023 Notification.

 

Eligibility for BSF Recruitment 2023:

 

According to the BSF Recruitment 2023 Advertisement, the Eligible Candidates should have gained the Educational Qualifications specific to the Posts briefly notified hereunder:

 

01) Inspector (Architect):

 

Educational Qualification: Bachelor of Architect (B.Arch.) from the Accredited University/Institution.

 

Desirable: Registration with the Council of Architecture under the Architects Act 1972

 

02) Sub-Inspector (Works):

 

Educational Qualification: Pass 03-Years’ Diploma in Civil Engineering from any Institute Duly recognized by the Central Government/State Government.

 

03) Junior Engineer/Sub-Inspector (Electrical):

 

Educational Qualification: Pass 03-Years’ Diploma in Electrical Engineering from any Institute Duly recognized by the Central Government/State Government.

 

Physical Standards for all 03 Posts in respect of Male and Female Genders:

 

Male Gender:

 

i) Height: 165 Cm. 150 Cm.

 

ii) Chest: 76 Cm (Un-expanded) AND (81 Cm) after expansion)

 

iii) Weight: According to Height but Not Lesser than 46 Kgs.

 

Female Gender:

 

i) Height: 157 Cm.

 

ii) Chest: Not Applicable

 

iii) Weight: Corresponding to Height but not under 46 Kg.

 

Physical Efficiency Test (Qualifying):

 

The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) comprising 04 Events shall remain as hereunder

 

Male Gender:

 

i) Run: 01 Mile to be completed in 08 Minutes

 

ii) Standing Broad Jump: 04′ (Ft) and 6″ (Inch)

 

iii) Clear the Ditch: 06 Feet

 

iv) Jump and Reach: 07 Feet (excluding 01 Ft Reach)

 

Female Gender:

 

i) Run: 01 Mile to be completed in 12 Minutes

 

ii) Standing Broad Jump: 03′ (Ft)

 

iii) Clear the Ditch: 04 Feet

 

iv) Jump and Reach: 06 Feet (excluding 01 Ft Reach)

 

Note*: Ex-Service-men shall not need to under the Physical Efficiency Test.

 

Selection Process under BSF Recruitment 2023:

 

Selection on both Posts 01) Inspector (Architect), 02) Sub-Inspector (Works) and 03) Junior Engineer/Sub-Inspector (Electrical) under the Group-B Combatised (Non-Gazetted) Posts in the Border Security Force consists of 02 Phases explained hereunder:

 

01) Inspector (Architect):

 

1st Phase: Phase-I shall comprise a 02-Hours’ Duration OMR Answer Sheet Based Competitive Test for 100 (40 Plus 60) Marks explained hereunder:

 

02) Sub-Inspector (Works) and 03) Junior Engineer/Sub-Inspector (Electrical):

 

1st Phase: Phase-I shall comprise a 90 Minutes’ (1½ Hours’) Duration OMR Answer Sheet Based Competitive Test for 100 (50 Plus 50) Marks explained hereunder:

 

2nd Phase: The Candidates shortlisted scoring the Minimum Qualifying Marks (i.e., UR/EWS/OBC: 50%) and (Reserved Community: 45%) shall be subjected to Phase-II. 2nd Phase shall comprise the following:

 

a) Physical Standards Test: Qualifying nature

 

b) Physical Efficiency Test:

 

The Physical Efficiency Test consists of 03 Events of Qualifying nature (i.e., i) Run, ii) Long Jump and iii) High Jump

 

Male Gender:

 

i) Run: 1.60 Mile to be completed in 07 Minutes

 

ii) Long Jump: 11′ (Ft) (03 Chances)

 

iii) High Jump: 3½ Feet (03 Chances)

 

Female Gender:

 

i) Run: 800 Meters to be completed in 05 Minutes

 

ii) Long Jump: 08 Ft (03 Chances)

 

iii) High Jump: 2½ Feet (03 Chances)

 

Note*: Ex-Service-men shall not need to under the Physical Efficiency Test.

 

c) Documentation

 

d) Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and Review Medical Examination (RME) and Re-Medical Examination (RME)

Examination Fee for BSF Recruitment 2023:

 

The Candidates will have to pay the Examination Fee Online through any of the Payment Gateways (Net Banking/Credit Card Debt) mentioned hereunder:

 

i) Net-Banking of any Bank; ii) Credit/Debit Card of any Bank and iii) Nearest Authorized Common Service Centre (CSC):

 

i) Un-Reserved Category: Rs.247.20 (Rupees Two Hundred Forty-Seven and Paise Twenty) only.

 

ii) EWS/OBC Candidates: Rs.247.20 (Rupees Two Hundred Forty-Seven and Paise Twenty) only.

 

iii) No Examination Fee for Reserved Community Candidates.
