In terms of venues, there are 12 venues being fixed for IPL 2023. So, other than the 10 home locations for the respective teams, Guwahati and Dharamshala have been added as the additional two locations. Jaipur and Mohali have 5 matches to be played, and their remaining two matches are scheduled at Guwahati and Dharamshala respectively.
To recap the IPL 2022 results, Gujarat Titans were the winners of IPL 2022 with Rajasthan Royals being the Runner-up. Royal Challengers Bangalore finished third and Lucknow Super Giants finished fourth. Meanwhile, the most successful teams CSK and MI finished in 9th and 10th position respectively.
The IPL 2023 saw a mini Auction being conducted at the end of December. With new players being added to the teams, no team starts as a favourite for IPL 2023. So, we should see an evenly match contest between all 10 teams. Also, this is the first time since 2019 that we are seeing the return of the Home and Away format. Hence, the excitement is even higher.
