Nighat Mir extended her greeting to the people of JKUT on Shab-e -Mehraj
Srinagar, 17 feb : Social activist and councillor of MC Baramulla Nighat Mir extended her greetings to the people of JKUT on annual observance of Shab – e – Mehraj . Describing this night of Mehraj is a sacred occasion to seek blessing and forgiveness of Allah.
While extending warm greeting to people , Nighat Mir said that this event celebrates in the night when the prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) ascended to the heavens from Masjid Al – Haram in Makkah. One of the great gift of this night was the obligatory prayer (Fardh Salah) was institued on Muslims. The night of Mehraj marks the ascension of holy messenger of Allah and prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) towards heaven.
She also highlight the principal of islam and teaching of prophet muhammad (S.A.W) as a grand greatest apostles of the Almighty pertaining to human service and welfare of poor and needy.
Nighat Mir prayed that this pious occasion bring peace , prosperity and happiness for the people of JKUT.
